The charity relies on the help of adult volunteers both during the sailing season and the winter maintenance months. Come along and try your hand at all aspects of running a boat!  
 
You will be given opportunities to set sails, take the helm and experience many other aspects of sailing a unique 50’ boat. 
 
Throughout a 12 month period you’ll have a chance to sail on a regular basis, rig and unrig Hardiesse, gain experience in boat maintenance and perhaps a spot of boat building.

If you decide that you enjoy Hardiesse and what she offers to youngsters, you can continue to attend as a volunteer and build skills in sailing to help change children’s lives for the better.

Regular volunteers are given the chance to gain RYA qualifications, we do not offer courses for adults but if a regular volunteer expresses an interest in gaining RYA qualifications, we may be able to assist.
